Hall Brothers

I visited a friend over the weekend who showed me a bottle labeled "Hall
Brothers Single Malt Whisky".  It was purchased in 2000 in San Francisco
from a wine shop, but had no distilleries noted on the label.  Obviously a
vatted malt (or a bastard malt as the malt maniacs would perhaps call it), I
would be interested in any information on this bottle.  It is most likely a
Speyside malt, highland I think.  I had a very quick sniff of the bottle but
not a taste.  Anyone familiar with Hall Brothers bottling?
