The "soapy" Edradour I tasted was in an OB I purchased at the distillery,
before the distillery was purchased by Signatory. So, yes, that "flavor
profile" exists in a many expressions.
Perhaps Signatory will correct the problem.

Well, yes, maybe soapy, but to me the overwhelming and objectionable taste
is the perfume (typical of some soaps perhaps that I don't purchase) that
stays on the palate for hours. I truly cannot believe that anyone at
Cadenhead ever tasted this stuff and put their label on it. Either that or
their taste buds are burned off and it isn't objectionable to their "master
tasters."
On the other hand, I have a bottle of Edradour 10 (OB) that is quite nice.
