Got one bottle in Royal Mile last week.
Ardbeg 1990/2006 Airigh Nam Beist (46%, OB)
Color: light gold, clear.
Nose: sweet, very peaty. lot's malt. Earthy, reminds you the bog. Adding
water get some floral nose.
Palate: burning, robust, hot. Very Ardbeg in mid-palate. Medium body.
finished long. very salty.
Conclusion: 90 points. A simple but sweet and enjoyalbe Ardbeg. Good for
everyday dram.(but consindering the price, I think 10yo is a better choice.)
Finished very well. Last very long, and will attract you to get another
dram very quickly. (My score changed form 86 to 88 and to 90, I guess it's
mainly the good finish.)
And, sorry, but I think this one is very good to drink on the rocks. I do
agree that the first dram reminds me the 1977 as well.
