The Demon Drink and Diabetes Type II

Dear Uncle Ralph,
 
Diabetes - a topic near and dear to my heart (and many other internal  
organs)!  
 
After doing this for 22 years, I can give you some advice.  
 
>From a dietary standpoint, the main concern is to limit your intake of  
simple carbohydrates.  
 
Whisky has little or no carbohydrates and I find it does not affect my  blood 
sugar.  
Yes, as previously noted, it contains calories, which you want to keep to  
some limit.  The other concern is if you dram too much, you might end up  eating 
too much as well.
