Hiya Uncle Ralph,

I've seen some news articles recently touting the beneficial effects of coffee consumption. The first from about a year ago explained that among the alcoholic beverage consumers, those who also drank significant amounts of coffee were far less likely to contract cirrhosis of the liver. A more recent article suggested that coffee drinkers were less likely to contract Type II diabetes, and those who had this condition fared better when consuming coffee. It looks like the coffee/alcohol interrelationship is a yin/yang kind of thing.

I'm sure you could find the associated studies with an internet search, but in the mean while make sure you're balancing your dramming with a java regimen.

Slainte,
TB
