Go for MM if they can host the list. If that can boost activity into the list again then it's by far the best solution in my opinion (compared to Yahoo/Google, as I suppose it would be "just" the same as now).

One option for hosting the active list could be Malt Maniacs. A solution like that would bring the most knowledgeable mailing list on malt whisky together with one of the best web-sites on malt whisky (but I admit I'm biased on this!). Given the standing of MM both within the industry and among whisky enthusiasts worldwide, having Malts-L under a MM umbrella could be just what we need to boost activity on the list.
Apart from technical details, how do people think about Malts-L hosted by MM?
