As a lurker since the dawn of MALTS-L, I too think that MM sounds like
the best solution.

I prefer having the posts arriving in my inbox rather than having to
access a website.

Preserving the archive seems to me like a top priority.

Unfortunately I don't have any practical suggestions to solve this, even
though I work for an ISP.

How big is the archive?

Hi all

One option for hosting the active list could be Malt Maniacs. A solution
like that would bring the most knowledgeable mailing list on malt whisky
together with one of the best web-sites on malt whisky (but I admit I'm
biased on this!). Given the standing of MM both within the industry and
among whisky enthusiasts worldwide, having Malts-L under a MM umbrella
could be just what we need to boost activity on the list.

Apart from technical details, how do people think about Malts-L hosted
by MM?

Slainte, Lex
