[MM-MALTS-L] Edradour 1991 13yo cask strength 58.2%

Hello Dave
I'm well enough aware that going from one cask to the next at its side can
make a world of difference, but I do have an Edradour tasting that might be
in the same ball park as yours. It'll be interesting to see if there is amy
resemblance when you get around to tasting yours. Below is verbatim from my
tasting library.
Peter Wood
EDRADOUR
11 years. Edradour Distillery Co. Ltd.. Straight from the Cask. Cask
strength 58.3% Distilled 07 August 1991 Bottled 12 May 2003. Bottle.
Sherry Butt 268. Tasted 14 March 2004
Colour 58% Copper.
Nose 23% Sulfurous start, then rich, coffee, raisins.
Nose 40% As above but surprisingly more closed.
Nose 58% As above but more spicy, coffee, christmas cake, nutmegs.
Palate 23% Sweet with a metallic tang on tongue edges. Very intense for
23%, fruity with nutty hints.
Palate 40% As above but less metallic. Quite pungent & spicy. Cloves, rum
esters.
Palate 58% Sweet & pungent. As above becoming musky on back draft.
Finish 23% Long, perfumed.
Finish 40% Long, perfumed.
Finish 58% Long, rich, nutty after long period.
Notes . Surprisingly little flavour variation across dilutions. Sherry wood
is obvious in colour and richness of flavour.
