I think it was an 18yo 1979.? There were other 1979 Talisker bottlings at 18 and 19yo, and the other were very nice.? I'll see if I can find the reference months on the questionable bottling.? As Tom B. said, it was a sherry-cask bottling, and so marked.

Can anyone give me the exact data on the talisker bottle?
I might have that one in my collection (since I have -as far as I know- all
the cadenhead taliskers distilled in 79, and bottled at consequtive years at
14, 15, ...to 20 years old)
I may have ended up with a bottle and would try it and send Johannes a
sample...
