Getting more and more curious .... you all know my perverse interest in
odd whiskies and, although I of course heard of this Talisker, I never
saw or tasted it. Now if anyone has a sample s/he desperately wants to
get rid of, I'm sure I can offer a sample of a better malt for swapping
.....

Paul,
Tell us if it's not the same.  I've tasted it and have a theory, which
others here seem to support, that it was tainted.  I think after it
left the distillery.
