AW: [MM-MALTS-L] Springbank

It seems that Springbank will not distill next year for a period, expect a formal announcement from the distillery in the next few days. When I was at the distillery for 5 days 9-13th June I saw no evidence of "nasty cheap wine barrels " but only excellent sherry, port and bourbon barrels. And an over whelming desire to produce top rate malts.
A suspension of distilling for a period is hardly reason to run amok with speculation and harsh words, they deserve better.
Lawrence

I suspect they ran out of those nasty cheap wine barrels they were using to finish their malt in....
