hey guys,
lets not talk about the qualitiy of their stuff. I had some wonderful and
also some undiscussable bad ones....
if they close for one year, then they have enough stock, althougt I tink in
terms of proifit making it does not make sense, but as a family business I
am pretty sure they know what to do..

Springbank is a GREAT whisky, one of the best in my world. Well if they stop
producing for a year, no need to worry, Arran stop for....was it 4
years.....I think it is wise if the stock is healthy and there is
plenty.....I think we all agree that Springbank is deserve better.
All the best

It seems that Springbank will not distill next year for a period, expect a
formal announcement from the distillery in the next few days. When I was at
the distillery for 5 days 9-13th June I saw no evidence of "nasty cheap wine
barrels " but only excellent sherry, port and bourbon barrels. And an over
whelming desire to produce top rate malts.
A suspension of distilling for a period is hardly reason to run amok with
speculation and harsh words, they deserve better.

I suspect they ran out of those nasty cheap wine barrels they were using to
finish their malt in....
