Yes the newmake is wonderful. Even if it is meant for Blending, I am pretty
sure sooner or later there will be a malt on the market. Wasn't it the same
with Kininvie?

By the way, in case people have missed it: Scotland very quietly got a
new malt distillery some months ago: Ailsa Bay has commenced distilling,
but its owners (Wm Grant) haven't made a song and dance about it at all,
probably because the output is meant for blending only (AFAIK).
