Agree with Martine on Eddu: floral, fruity, completely unlike any whisky I've ever tasted. I enjoyed the bottle (it didn't last long). Don't expect it to taste like the pot stills you list, but if you keep an open mind, you might be in for a nice surprise.
Cheers, Lex

Hi Dave and all
you should re taste Armoric (much improvment with the last releases).
eddu is completly different? Buckwheat
gives a floral new make, very specific (reminds me of a gewurstraminer wine, mix of rose, turkish delight and litchi...)
Personnally I like it. And I think it is worth buying. But i would not compare to a single malt or a pure pot still such as Redbreast;
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm a big fan of pure pot still whiskey - Redbreast, Green Spot and
Jameson's pure pot still are among my favourite drams.
I was surprised to see on whisky.fr<http://whisky.fr/> (La Maison de Whisky) that Eddu is
called a "pure pot still" whisky - it's distilled with 80% malted and
20% unmalted buck wheat.
The last time I bought a bottle of Breton whisky (Armorik) I thought it
had more in common with paint thinner than whisky and I'm wondering if
Eddu's worth the risk. Anyone here have any strong opinions on it?
Cheers,
Dave.
