[MM-MALTS-L] Sherried Mac 12 yo in SA

In Cape Town, there seems to be little fine classication of malts and prices. I came across whole sets of Douglas Laing OMC priced more or less just above the standard malts, including a 17 yo Laphroaig finished in a rum cask. One does not let such opportunities pass.
What I also noted was a 12 yo Macallan, obviously sherried (by color), no mention of the horrible "Fine Oak" etc. Priced as just another one of the gang of 20.

Not seen that bottling in the UK.
