Yes, both Writer's Tears and The Irishman are well worth their price. Good and easy drinking whiskys.
The Irishman has a blend, a malt and also a limited edition with Cask Strength. The Writer's Tears is quite new at least in Germany. I tried it at the festival in Aschaffenburg two weeks ago.
