Hi John,
I've not visited distilleries in Japan, but the selection of malts in
the bars in Tokyo is just staggeringly good. Ulf is right, his book
is really very comprehensive, but more than that, it has details on
how to get to each distillery along with side-trips for less
whisky-minded companions.
