I'd wonder if the Macallan PR people would know anything about an old
Stillhouse at all.

I guess this is something the PR people at Macallan would not talk louldly
about. If it's true, you could almost say there are/where two Macallan
distilleries, one pre 1980, now mothballed, and one post 1980, operating. So
much for consistency and tradition. That said, they still make great whisky!
