Celp indeed contains a fresh-water plant called elodia, but don’t go down
the path of a “conspiracy theory”<br>
The whole thing started of more or less as a joke, and Van Wees had no idea the
thing would be so succesfull. The first batch was indeed labelled
“whisky”, but the SWA had their say about it, and they had to
change it into scottish spirit.<br>
<br>
Expect it to taste like a young islay should, an islay that is maybe a little
“green” because of it’s youth. ;-)<br>
And I’m sure they were not trying to hoodwink the customer! I think they
saw it as a fun way of riding the wave of the “finishes”!<br>
