Well thanks for the replies. I really like those write-ups, and the formats and the music choices too. Wotta good site.
Action will be taken to get my hands on a bottle of PC6.
I'm currently ploughing my way through a Douglas Laing 1977 10yo Ardbeg. Sharp, a little acidic, perhaps astringent. The phenol is rough, untamed. Maybe their casks didn't help the maturation along too much, but back-to-back with the OB 10yo its just not too enjoyable. On the other hand, the DL 10 yo Laphroaig is much much more drinkable.

Ralph

----- Original Message -----
From: Lawrence Graham <lawrencegraham@shaw.ca>
Date: Friday, March 21, 2008 18:17
Subject: Re: [MM-MALTS-L] Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 6 Cuairt-Beatha
To: MaltManiacs operated former 'MALT-L' Whisky List <mm-malts-l@grsnet.net>

> Please see this link at whiskyfun for tasting notes on PC6;
>
> http://www.whiskyfun.com/archiveseptember07-2.html#280907
>
> It's just below the Balvenie tasting notes,
>
> Lawrence
>
> ----- Original Message -----
> From: "Vincent Festraets" <vincentfestraets@hotmail.com>
> To: "MaltManiacs operated former 'MALT-L' Whisky List"
> <mm-malts-l@grsnet.net>
> Sent: Friday, March 21, 2008 1:56 AM
> Subject: RE: [MM-MALTS-L] Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 6 Cuairt-Beatha
>
>
>
> Hello Ralph,
>
> Sorry to reply late.
>
> We tasted the PC6, as we called it, it seems to be the same dram.
> I'm not able to reach my tasting notes now, but I remember the
> discussions
> that night.
>
> Some people did not like it too much focus on peat, no balance
> in the
> whisky.
