agree with anything Peter said. John is a great guy who has a real passion for
whisky. A spent a day with him in his 'kitchen' a few years ago, where he let me
taste anything I wanted and where we talked about everything that makes him tick
and create his whiskies. I really like his vattings and it is a crying shame
that Spice Tree was forced off the market.
>
>So I'd definitely
recommend you going and if you do, make sure to say hi to John from me!
>

Under
>John is an interesting man and his vattings great. I spent an
afternoon with him a couple of years ago and can assure you that he does know
his stuff and a whisky food pairing at $110 is good value, but better with John
in charge. If it helps he is from the USA, a former Diagio manager and you will
follow his accent!
>Peter Johnston
>
>A local
wine/food/spirits merchant has arranged for John Glaser to come and provide some
examples of whisky and food pairings.
>
>I've heard good things
about Compass Box, but at USD 110 the event is a bit steep to attend without
knowing more about their whiskies.
>
>So, what do you fellow
whisky lovers think of Asyla, Hedonism, Oak Cross and Peat Monster?
>
>Regards,
>
>Brian Gross
